What Kado is
Kado is a home for taste — a place to save items you want, explain why they matter, review them once you own them, and share your collections with friends.
What we collect
Your account: an email address, and if you sign in with Google, the name and profile photo Google shares with us.
What you save: items, links, images you upload, notes, reviews, collections, and gifting signals you create.
If you paste a link into the save form, our server fetches that page once to read its title, image, and price. The page content is parsed and discarded — it is not stored or logged.
If you save a page with the Save to Kado browser extension, the content of the page you're on is sent to our server once so we can read those same fields. It is parsed and discarded the same way — never stored or logged.
What others can see
You control visibility. Public items, collections, and your profile are visible to anyone; private ones are visible only to you. Gifting intents are never shown to the item's owner beyond a neutral signal.
How we use it
Only to run Kado. We don't sell your data, show ads, or share your information with third parties for their own use.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. Traffic and performance are measured with Vercel's cookieless analytics, which does not track you across sites.
Where your data lives
Kado runs on Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database, sign-in, and image storage), in data centers in the United States.
Your choices
You can edit or delete anything you've saved, and switch anything between public and private, at any time. To delete your account and all of its data, email us and we'll take care of it.
